Festive Season Approaching, How are you feeling?

It's no doubt that the festive season can have the tendency to bring on old emotions, body responses such as the same illness or condition at this time of year or increased stress.

Do you notice the same illness coming on around the same time every year? It’s a memory pattern that your body is holding on to.

Let’s try to shift that a little this year.

Whether it be the dread of having to see that miserable Uncle again, or the stress of having to make small talk, or the inability to set boundaries in a healthy manner without feeling guilt, - it can really have an impact on your mental and emotional health.

One of the things that I love about being empowered as a woman, is the ability to be able to control the experience of such situations.

Here are four of my simple solutions to ease the stress this year:

A COLD WALK OUTDOORS

I find cold exposure the most invigorating experience! Only on the face of course, the needs warmth! I realised this even more so by being in Denmark, as the climate is far colder than the U.K.  Science has also shown that cold exposure can produce a sense of calm within and put you into a state of happiness as the cold sends signals to the body to relax.   So wrap up warm to keep your organs warm, and get yourself out on a long or short walk to keep you mentally fit during the festive period.

DEEP BREATHING

Use your breath as your anchor. When you feel anxious, your breathing becomes shallow, which makes you feel out of control. Deep inhales through the nose, slowly release out of the mouth. Use this to reset as many times as you need to throughout the day. to regulate the nervous system.

ESSENTIAL OILS

Okay I may be biased here, but those of you who are using the essential oil blends know exactly what I mean when I say that inhaling the essential oil blend will reset the way you feel in an instant.

The purity of the ingredients in the oils allow you to have the full nature experience without the worry of toxic ingredients, and artificial smells.

Inhale,  add to the pulse points, add it to the neck, and the back of the neck, and that alone with support you and hold you during the festive period. Check out the range here

BE AN OBSERVER

If you don't feel comfortable in the situation, retreat to being the observer. Not every disagreement needs a reaction. Being an observer allows you to stay within your body, mindfully without getting too caught up in the head with constant mental chatter - which ends up only winding yourself up anyway!

You will feel more at peace when you no longer feel the need to have to compete or stamp your point across.

Remember: Self- Mastery leads to the Supernatural.
